Important tape rule

Apply tape only to clean, fully dry hair. Never place Draw It Out® Gel, liniment, oils, fly spray, creams, coat polish, or other topicals underneath the tape or on its adhesive edges. Draw It Out® Gel and K Tape can work well in the same care routine—apply the gel beside or around the taped area while keeping the taped hair and edges completely clean and dry.

How to use

Apply only to clean, fully dry hair.
Brush away dirt, dust, sweat, loose hair, oils, sprays, and coat products before taping.
Round the corners of each strip before application.
Use zero-stretch anchors and light tension through the working section.
Rub the tape after application to help activate the adhesive.
Inspect the tape and skin at least once daily and after blanketing, turnout, bathing, or heavy sweating.
Remove slowly in the direction of hair growth, supporting the hair and skin as you peel. Use water first if needed.

Common questions

Can I leave the tape on overnight?

Yes. Properly applied tape may be worn overnight and may remain in place beyond one day depending on adhesion, coat condition, weather, activity, and the individual horse. Inspect the taped area at least once daily. Remove the tape if you notice irritation, unusual heat, swelling, rubbing, trapped moisture, excessive lifting, or any change in comfort or movement.

Can I use a Back on Track® or magnetic blanket over it?

Yes, provided the blanket fits correctly, lies smoothly, and does not rub, bunch, pull, or catch the tape. Check the tape and skin after blanketing and remove the tape if the blanket creates friction or shifts the application.

Can I use Draw It Out® Gel with the tape?

Yes—the two can work well in the same care routine. Do not put gel or any other topical underneath the tape or on its adhesive edges. Apply Draw It Out® Gel beside or around the taped area, keeping the hair beneath the tape and its edges completely clean and dry.

K Tape vs. liniment vs. wraps

K Tape: flexible support, body cueing, and movement awareness.
Draw It Out® Gel or liniment: may be used beside or around the taped area, but never underneath tape or on adhesive edges. After removal, apply to the previously taped area only when the skin looks normal, clean, and intact.
Wraps or boots: traditional support or coverage when used correctly.

This works great for a bird mite infestation inside

I have a bird mite infestation and this worked well, thank you for the help, it's also the cheapest place to get this specific insecticide and it's good stuff as far as if you use it indoors not so good for outdoors because sunlight damages it and it won't work as well so I have been told but very satisfied with the product

This tack set is so gorgeous, and much better quality than I expected, AND dosent get any glitter off. (A huge win!) It was the only thing I could find like what I truly wanted and I am in love with it! 💜 The only reason I give it a 4 star is due to the headstall. The check peices are much bigger than I expected, based off of other headstalls, as well as the buckles, so beware of that. Other than that it is a truly amazing set and I love it!
