For added coverage, the matching AJ Tack 1200D Waterproof Poly Hood offers full head and neck protection. Constructed from the same durable waterproof fabric and insulated with 300g poly fill, the hood helps keep your horse warm and dry during extreme weather. Adjustable closures and detachable straps allow the hood to integrate seamlessly with the blanket for a secure, comfortable fit. Together, this system provides reliable, full-body winter protection for your horse.

  • Heavyweight Winter Insulation: Blanket features 400g poly fill for superior body warmth, while the hood includes 300g poly fill to help protect the neck and head in cold temperatures.
  • Secure, Comfortable Fit: Double front buckle closure with Velcro, crossed belly straps, and removable elastic leg straps help keep the blanket securely in place without restricting movement.
  • Freedom of Movement & Added Coverage: Shoulder gussets and a fleece-lined collar promote comfort and mobility, while the tail flap and hood attachment rings provide added protection from the elements.

Measuring Guide for Turnout Blankets:

Use a soft fabric tape measure, starting at the center of your horse's chest (where the base of the neck meets the chest). Measure around the widest part of the shoulders, across the barrel, around the hips and flank, and stop just before the tail. The measurement in inches is your horse's blanket size. If your horse is between sizes, round up to the next size for the best fit.
