DURABLE POLY ROPE DESIGN - this hay net is made of a durable poly rope material that is resistant to breaking or tearing, as well as damage from UV rays, mold, or mildew.

EASY ON HORSE’S TEETH - this hay net is made with our unique soft poly mesh that was designed to be extra gentle on horse’s teeth and gums so your horse can eat more comfortably.

HOLDS 2-3 FLAKES - 34” hay nets will hold approx. 2-3 flakes of hay, depending on the hay type and flake size, and how dense the hay is packed. These nets are rated to last the average horse about 12 hours or more.

IDEAL FOR DENSE HAYS - this hay net was designed to have large 7x7” openings so that your horse can easily and openly eat hay from this net. This style net was designed with tightly packed and dense hays in mind.

PREFERRED BY HORSES - testing has shown that horses prefer eating out of our soft mesh hay nets due to them being more comfortable long-term and not causing damage to the teeth and gums.

 

Hand-Tied Construction

This hay net was tied by hand, so the hole size may vary slightly. The average hole size for this net is approx. 7x7”, which is designed for use with large animals only, and with coarse, densely packed hays. This size net opening is not recommended for use with sheep and goats, or other smaller livestock animals who can get their heads and limbs inside this hay net due to the potential of tangling. This hay net was designed to offer free-choice hay to your animal, and is ideal for coarse and dense hays such as alfalfa.


UV, Mold, and Mildew Resistant

This world class Derby Originals hay net is made from a polyester rope that is extremely resistant to damage from UV rays, or mold and mildew. These hay nets have been tested in wet and damp conditions and have held up strong, with no damage or smell, even when hay was left to completely rot in them. These hay nets are great for those who have to soak their animal’s hay, for all-season use, or use outside in the pasture.
